EDGE Improv

Gorilla Theatre returns to the stage, as EDGE Improv debut at The JOYnt in 2008.

Our Improv performers set out to dazzle each other, the audience, and a small Stuffed Gorilla called Harry.

Gorilla Theatre is an improvised show developed by Keith Johnstone,  the creator of Theatre-Sports. In it, each improvisor takes turns directing the others in scenes. Unlike theatresports, there are no judges... the audience decides whether the director is rewarded for a good scene, or punished for a bad one!

Also, as a part of the show each week, there was

a performance of  "The Harold" ... a very popular longform improvisation developed in Chicago. It's dramatic, it's funny... it's definitely different!

Great laughs and good food and drink at our new venue - The JOYnt, SOuth Brisbane.

It's a great, cheap, entertaining night out... and did I mention the show is FREE?
