EDGE will also be hosting a workshop taught by Rama Nicholas (of Impro Melbourne, and director and creator of "The Wishing Tree")
Rama Nicholas is a professional actor and improviser with more than 10 years experience in the industry.
Residing in Melbourne, Rama has been a member of Impro Melbourne’s Ensemble cast for over 8 years.
During this time she has performed, produced and directed various short and long form productions such as Theatre Sports, Gorilla, Micetro, Late Night Impro (Comedy Festival), Smells Like a Song, and Unforeseen Stories.
Others include The Impro Cave, Dead Tragic, Celebrity Theatre Sports, Shakespeare Scared Scriptless, The Halloween classic’s Mr Fish and his spooky tales of the macabre and most recently The Wishing Tree.
Rama has been on the winning team at the 2006 and 2007 National Theatresports Competition in Sydney.
In 2006, Rama embarked on a global tour performing and teaching improvisation at several international festivals and with companies in – Seattle, Bellingham, and San Francisco in the USA, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton in Canada, Berlin and Ljubljana in Europe.
Suitable for all impro performers and workshoppers, this special one off workshop will focus on 'Making your partner look good', 'Aim to Inspire' and 'Fail Happily' .
They will be held at the Metro Arts Studio on Saturday the 31st of January, from 11am to 3pm, and cost only $50 for the 4 hour session.
