Sherbet Underground once again present an evening of long-form improvised comedy this May.

Impro Workshops For 2012 start at the end of January.

I am very happy to reveal Edge Improv have finalised the dates for their first round of workshops in 2012.

Our Intro to Impro workshops will be kicking off on the 29th of January and running for 5 weeks on Sunday afternoons.

These classes are perfect for people of all experience levels, though they are aimed for those who want to learn the basics of the art of improvisation.

The classes focus on spontaneity, teamwork, being in the moment & inspiring each other.

They are taught in a fun, friendly atmosphere by a teacher with over 10 years of improv teaching experience experience.

“As a presenter, these classes gave me a great deal of confidence to handle any unexpected situation that might occur on camera and on stage. Improv skills are easily one of my most valuable tools during any audition or job interview. It's so much fun the only downside is when the class ends!”

Beginners and more experienced performer are all welcome to the classes, which offers a fresh perspective on improvisation. These classes consist of five weekly 4 hour classes.

The FINAL Harold of 2011 - 3rd December

Well, this is it - if you've been putting off going to the Harold, this is your last chance.

For the past 12 months, we have been performing the world renowned, crazy and always different show, and now the time has come for us to wrap it up.

Kicking off at 6pm on Saturday the 3rd of November, at the Brisbane Square Library Theatrette, will be your last chance to check out the “show about everything”.

As always, we’ll be taking one word from the audience and transforming it into a full three act play, as well as our other features like “How About This” and “The Montage”.

It’s an immediate, interactive show that really brings the audience and performers together and is unlike anything else. The only limits on the stories are the performer's imagination.

You'll be amused, moved and entertained by the completely unique performance. Be surprised by the talented up and coming performers, and enjoy the low key, fun atmosphere.

So catch up with the Harold before it’s too late!

Special Creativity Workshop - Open to All - Nov 20th

We are exceedingly pleased to announce EDGE Improv’s first workshop for non-performers.

Called "Unlock Your Creativity Through Fun & Games", this special one off all day workshop aims to teach and delight at the same time.

It’s open to all who would like to try and free up creativity, hone your teamwork, abandon writers block and generally have a great fun time expanding their brain!

The all day workshop will use impro games to teach creativity in a fun, energetic atmosphere. You’ll be taken through a series of group exercises in an environment which encourages playfulness, respect and creative expression.

If you’ve ever wanted to try an impro workshop, but didn’t want to have to get on stage, this is the class for you!
